class=\"mark19ixmighc\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Davide<\/span>\u00a0Pareyson<\/strong>\u00a0is a\u00a0<strong>Clinical Neurologist<\/strong> working at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico C.Besta (INCB) of Milan, Italy, where he is currently Head of the Rare Neurodegenerative and Neurometabolic Diseases Unit; He also serves as Chief of the Functional Department of Neurodegenerative and Rare Neurological Diseases.<\/p><p>Professor Pareyson&#8217;s main interest in clinical research are on\u00a0<strong>hereditary and acquired peripheral neuropathies<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>motor neuronopathies<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>inherited neurological disorders<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>rare diseases<\/strong>. He performed studies on phenotype-genotype correlation, clinical findings, electrophysiology, neuropathology of hereditary neuropathies (particularly\u00a0<strong>Charcot-Marie-Tooth<\/strong>\u00a0disease \u2013\u00a0<strong>CMT<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; and related\u00a0<strong>neuropathies<\/strong>, but also amyloid neuropathy) and other\u00a0<strong>neurogenetic disorders<\/strong>\u00a0including spinal and bulbar muscle atrophy (SBMA), hereditary spastic paraplegias, hereditary ataxias, genetic leukodystrophies.<\/p><p>Professor Pareyson has been working on the development of outcome measures for\u00a0<strong>hereditary neuropathies<\/strong>\u00a0and other\u00a0<strong>rare diseases<\/strong>\u00a0and has coordinated and participated in several clinical trials and natural history studies in inherited and acquired neuropathies over the past 10 years internationally.<\/p><p>Finally, Professor Pareyson is the Coordinator of the\u00a0<strong>Italian National Registries of Charcot-Marie-Tooth<\/strong>\u00a0disease and of\u00a0<strong>SpinoBulbar Muscular Atrophy<\/strong>\u00a0(www.registronmd.it), and participates as local PI in the TTR-related amyloidosis Italian National Registry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
